At CharCol Springs we specialize in producing a superior quality, nutritious, ethically produced egg. We simply refuse to sacrifice quality over quantity.

How we achieve this is by running our hens in a Pastured Poultry system.

 

"Pastured Eggs" = Pastured eggs come from hens that are continually moved around onto fresh pastures.

The hens diet consists of continual green pastures, bugs, grubs and worms and then supplementary fed with a mixture of grains. It is this unique diet which is the key to making such a high quality egg.

​

The hens travel with state of the art custom built trailers which are moved around in a rotational grazing system behind the cattle over the 63 hectares of pastures. This is a highly sustainable regenerative model of farming which not only builds the health and well being of the soil but also allows the hens to produce such an amazing, high quality, nutrient enriched full flavoured egg.
